Sep 14, 2026"Garuda Nasi Padang Medan delivers a delicious and authentic Sumatran dining experience. The highlight is their hidang (serve-and-choose) style, where an array of flavorful dishes like *daging sapi* (tender beef rendang), *ayam goreng* (crispy fried chicken), and *tempeh terung sambal* (spicy eggplant with tempeh) are presented at your table. The beef rendang is especially rich and well-spiced, while the sambal adds a nice kick. A thoughtful touch is the small bowl of water for handwashing, making it easy to enjoy the meal the traditional way. Pairing the food with *jus alpukat* (creamy avocado juice) or *jus jeruk* (refreshing Kintamani orange juice) balances the bold flavors and tones down the spice and salt. Service is friendly, though it can get a bit slow when crowded. Portion sizes are fair, and the overall taste is satisfying. A few dishes could be warmer upon serving, but the flavors make up for it. Could be on the pricier side depending on your selection of dishes. Theres an open area and also an air-conditioned room to cut the heat outside. Great for a casual meal with friends or family— was fun to tryout this local fair!"

Aug 22, 2026"A great place for family meals or hosting guests. Just note that the space is quite limited and it gets crowded during peak hours, so you may need to wait and it can be quite noisy, especially at lunchtime. If you do not specify which dishes you want, the staff will serve all the side dishes at your table and you can simply pick and taste whatever you like. Service is generally quick but can feel a bit rushed, which is understandable given the crowd during busy periods. Overall, it is still a solid choice if you do not mind a lively setting."
